I recently wanted to share my Android phone’s internet connection to two Windows computers. After some doing, here is the solution (naming might differ on different versions of Windows, I’m using XP):
- Download and install PDAnet for your Android phone and on one of the Windows computers, referred to as Computer1.
- Once installed, follow the directions for connecting Computer1 to the internet. PDAnet includes these instructions, but basically you turn on the PDAnet app on the phone and click “Turn on PDAnet” or something like that. (You also need to have USB debugging enabled, see instructions.) You need to install the software on Computer1 before you connect to your phone via USB. If your phone prompts you with four choices, such as Charge, USB Mass Storage, etc., select Charge.
- Now in the system tray on Computer1, right-click the PDAnet icon and select “Connect”. After this, Computer1 should have internet access.
- Next connect Computer1 and Computer2 with an ethernet cable. Older network adapters require a cross-over cable.
- On Computer1, go to the properties of the ethernet connection (e.g. “Local Area Connection” -> r-click -> “Properties”). Double-click “Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)”. Set the IP address to “192.168.0.1” and subnet mask to “255.255.255.0” and click “Ok” out of all of that.
- On Computer1, go to the properties of the PdaNet Modem. Click the “Advanced” tab. I disabled my firewall to make things easy. Click the box “Allow other network users to connect through this computer’s Internet connection”. In the drop-down box, select the ethernet connection you configured in Step 5. Unselect the other two boxes. Click “Ok”.
- Still on Computer1, click “Start”->”Run” (or hold the Windows keyboard button and press “R” at the same time). In the box, type “cmd” and press “Ok”. In the black command window type “ipconfig /all”. Look for the PdaNet connection “PPP adapter for PdaNet Modem”. Under that should be “DNS Servers . . . . “. Write down that number, as it will be used on Computer2.
- On Computer2, set up the ethernet connection using the same procedure as in Step 5, except use the IP address “192.168.0.2” and for the Default Gateway put “192.168.0.1”. While you are there, click “Use the following DNS server addresses” and put the number you wrote down in Step 7 under “Preferred DNS server”.
- You should have internet access on both computers now!
If you are having problems, try this: back on Computer1, type “ping 192.168.0.2”. If it says “Reply from 192.168.0.2…” then you are most of the way there. Otherwise go back and check the steps. Type “ping 74.125.229.16” to see if you can access Google without DNS name resolution. If it doesn’t reply, then PDAnet isn’t connected or a step was skipped. Finally type “ping www.google.com” to see if the DNS configuration is correct. If it doesn’t reply, then look at the settings seen in Steps 7 and 8.

The same way the fingers are not equal in size and structure is the same way students in an educational setup have different skills and abilities. I therefore must have the necessary skills to be able to motivate and inspire pupils of all abilities to take part and learn new skills in assignment help service. Some of the different situations in class include slow learning, race and ethnicity barriers, prior teaching, below-average performance, and physical disability. The kind of basic education a student had while growing up has a lot to do with how they develop. I will perfect the ability to use my initiative as a teacher. This is where I will have proper knowledge about my students’ skills ability. I will devise strategies such as peer teaching, the use of external learning material, and class presentations. Research has shown that learners tend to grasp more when they learn from their fellow students. I will assist my students in forming group discussions to ensure no one gets left behind. This will assist in both theoretical and practical learning. I will be carrying out assessment tests through both sit-in and take-home assignments to gauge my students’ progress to know what more measures I should put in place to ensure great performance from all of them.
In an institution, we have learners from different ethnicities, races, and backgrounds. There is, therefore, a need for proper knowledge of the English language which is the common teaching language. This will assist me in properly communicating with my students, their parents, and guardians during school meetings as well as with my colleagues. English is the most common language and has the power to connect people from many different cultures, building relations and understanding.
It is vital to note that in a public place such as an educational institution, we get to meet all kinds of individuals. I will therefore perfect my relations skills to work well with others. This will be a way of always promoting peace and harmony. On that same note, I will equip myself with proper and suitable problem-solving methods such as collaboration, accommodation, compromise, avoiding, and competition as conflict resolution. Misunderstandings are bound to occur where two or more are gathered for some time.
In case of any issues among my students, I will ensure we follow the correct protocol to come up with a solution for the matter at hand. There can also be misunderstandings among my colleagues where I might need to step in as a neutral person and assist in solving the matter. Unlike the situation with my students, I will have to apply more caution when my colleagues are involved. Therefore, I will work on my skills to maintain calmness and patience in stressful situations such as such a scenario. This is because dealing with adults arguing can be quite challenging.
Proper planning is an essential part of a successful teaching career. The ability to properly organize and execute my lessons will ensure I meet my objectives. On that note, I will enhance my leadership skills as I am the one to lead my students into achieving their set goals as well. As a leader, I will plan the activities we will take part in, the methods we will use, how much time we will need, and anything essential to the lesson. My class will have all types of students from different backgrounds, races, religions, and ethnicities. I will lay down rules that ensure mutual love and respect amongst everyone. I will always be just and fair to everyone. Grades and performance accolades will be based purely on individual performance and not favoritism.
As a teacher, I must be 100% confident in myself and have great self-esteem. Study shows that energy is transferrable and students can sense fear. I, therefore, need to believe in myself that I can achieve the goals I will have set for myself at the beginning of every coursework. I will improve on my verbal communication skills to ensure my students and I understand each other. The use of respectful words creates and maintains a peaceful and harmonious environment.
In the current world, knowledge of technology is a very vital factor. The world of technology keeps growing and needs individuals to keep up. Most institutions have gone digital and are doing away with manual teaching methods. The introduction of online classes and examinations has assisted several individuals who would like to enroll in a given institution but distance becomes a barrier. Some graduations have even been held via online platforms due to pandemics such as the covid 19 pandemic. I will therefore improve my computer skills and familiarize myself with the computer packages I need in my teaching career as well as those needed to apply general knowledge in other fields.
As much as I plan to work on my practical skills, it is vital that I also work on enhancing my education levels. I will enroll for a Postgraduate Certificate in Education(PGCE) and Postgraduate Diploma in Education(PGDE). This will enable me to acquire adequate knowledge and understanding of the philosophical, psychological, and sociological foundations of Education and the benefits these things have on teaching and learning in schools. Eventually, I will acquire the qualified teacher Status through which I will be able to teach in state schools in the UK.
Perfecting the above will move me an inch close to achieving my goals whereby I can be a P.E teacher in various fields such as physical therapy, nutrition health, and physiology. The three have a connection whereby physical therapy focuses on restores movement to the restricted body parts while physiology, through the effect body exercise has on the cells, relieves symptoms. Nutrition plays a major role in dictating the amounts and categories of food intake. This will allow me to familiarize myself with different types of exercises, sports, and outdoor activities.
To achieve the above, I will have to overcome some challenges and barriers that I may meet. Such barriers include discrimination based on race, religion, or ethnicity. This might limit me from securing employment in a good institution despite possessing all the required qualities. There is the barrier of distance in the institution I wish to improve my skills, but this can be solved by online learning. As a P.E teacher, I may encounter challenges with poor student behavior where some students are indiscipline and do not heed correction, equipment malfunctions during practical sessions, technical problems with computer systems in the middle of lessons, and risk of being thrown out of my teaching space. Despite all these, I aim to do my best and overcome them to reach my goals.
