Pore fluid composition is influenced by the cementitious system and age of hydration, as well as influencing concrete durability. Hydration of supplementary cementing materials has a large influence on pore fluid composition influence on ASR. The role of Ca/Si and alumina on alkali and chloride binding will also be discussed.
