On September 8th, the annual event of CEROC the “Cyber Discovery Day” was held. It was yet another successful event. The number of attendees went up from last year. Its a day when students from all majors are welcomed to learn about cyber security.
The purpose of this event is to bring cyber security close to the students. The students can learn about cyber security in general. They also get an opportunity to learn about personal experience of cyber security professionals who works in cyber day in day out.
A ‘Student Panel’ is formed with the students working in security. The panel share experiences of working in security and interacts with the students to answer their questions. It is one of the most interesting part of the day.
The students then enjoy a networking session with all the other cyber security students and professionals. Researches in cyber security is also presented by the students later in the day.
The day ends with a CyberSecurity game for the participating students.
